You have the right to request complete deletion of your personal data from Apurva Rewardz. This page explains what data we delete, how to request it, and what to expect during the process.
1. Overview
Apurva Rewardz is a loyalty rewards platform operated by Apurva Marketing, based in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India. We respect your right to control your personal data. Under applicable privacy regulations, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and related rules, you can request the deletion of your personal data from our platform at any time.
This policy applies to all Apurva Rewardz services including our mobile application (Android & iOS), customer portal, merchant portal, and any associated services.
2. What We Delete
When you submit a data deletion request, we will permanently erase the following data associated with your account:
Account Information
Your name, email address, phone number, profile picture, and all account settings.
Rewards & Points Data
Loyalty points balance, reward redemption history, earned cashback, and all associated reward records.
Transaction History
Purchase records, billing transactions, payment history, and merchant interaction logs.
Merchant Associations
Store memberships, favourite merchants, subscription preferences, and merchant-linked reward cards.
App Usage Data
Notification preferences, app activity logs, device identifiers, and push notification tokens.
Uploaded Files & Media
Profile photos, documents, and any media files you uploaded to the platform.
3. How to Request Deletion
You can request data deletion through any of the following methods:
From the Apurva Rewardz App
- Open the Apurva Rewardz app on your device
- Go to Profile → Settings → Account
- Tap "Delete My Account"
- Select your reason for deletion and confirm
- Your account and data will be permanently deleted within 30 days
From the Web Portal
- Log in to your account on the Apurva Rewardz portal
- Navigate to Account Settings → Delete Account
- Select your reason and confirm your request
- All your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days
Via Email
Send a data deletion request to our support team. Please include:
- Your registered mobile number or email address
- Subject line: "Data Deletion Request"
- Reason for deletion (optional)

All data permanently erased
Once your request is received, we will acknowledge it within 24 hours. Your account will be deactivated within 7 days, revoking all access. Complete deletion of all your data from our systems, including backups, will be finalised within 30 calendar days.
You will receive an email or SMS confirmation once the deletion process is complete.
5. Data We May Retain
In certain circumstances, we may be required or permitted to retain some data even after a deletion request:
Legal Obligations
Financial transaction records required by tax and accounting regulations (typically 7 years as per Indian law).
Fraud Prevention
Basic identifiers to prevent fraudulent account re-creation or misuse of the rewards system.
Active Disputes
Data relevant to ongoing or potential legal disputes, chargebacks, or refund claims until resolved.
Aggregated Analytics
Anonymised, non-identifiable usage statistics that cannot be traced back to you.
Any retained data is kept in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law. Once the retention period expires, the data is permanently deleted.
6. Third-Party Services
Apurva Rewardz may integrate with third-party services such as payment gateways, SMS providers, and analytics tools. When you delete your data from Apurva Rewardz:
- We revoke all internal access tokens associated with your account
- Data previously shared with payment gateways is governed by those providers' privacy policies
- We remove all locally stored copies of data received from third-party APIs
- Push notification tokens are deregistered from our notification services
We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of any connected third-party services for information about their own data retention practices.
